As a child, I wrote fantasies and dark fairy tales. As a teenager, I enrolled in a journalism class and wrote for our school newspaper, sharing high school activities and events in my local newspaper column. Now I write memoir, Haiku poetry, essays and screenplays. All are different styles, and I love each and every one of them.
From the Movie
Finding Forrester:
"No thinking - that comes later. You must write your first draft with your heart. You rewrite with your head. The first key to writing is... to write, not to think!"
"Someone I once knew wrote that we walk away from our dreams afraid that we may fail or worse yet, afraid we may succeed."
From Albert Einstein:
If a cluttered desk is a sign of a cluttered mind, of what, then, is an empty desk a sign?"
"Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere."
I was raised in a small town just outside of Ann Arbor, Michigan and now live in the high Wasatch mountain desert with my husband and Yorkie-poo dog named Benjamin Franklin, where I journal, write books, poetry, essays and screenplays. I'm currently taking Aaron Sorkin's screenwriting MasterClass.
